Physician owner Amba Krishnan, M.D., is a board-certified internal medicine physician and a board certified hematologist (doctor that treats conditions affecting the blood). Also an oncology specialist, Dr. Krishnan is skilled in treating patients with cancer.
Dr. Krishnan received her medical degree from Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal, India. She served an internal medicine residency at Providence Hospital, a fellowship in hematology at the Detroit Medical Center, and a fellowship in medical oncology at Henry Ford Hospital. She has been in private practice since 1986.
She has been named in the book “America’s Top Physicians,“ the 2004-2005 edition published by Consumers’ Research Council of America. This consumer’s guide rates physicians on a point value system based on education, years in practice, affiliations with professional associations and board certifications.

As a board-certified hematologist, Dr. Krishnan has a special interest in treating patients for a variety of blood-related disorders including amenia, leukopenia and thrombocytopenia as well as malignant hematological conditions. Patients with anemia can receive injections of Procrit or Aranesp in her office.
Eun Ju Yeon is an Adult Nurse Practitioner, board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and licensed by the state of Michigan. Her passion to help others, allowed her to advance her career and continue her education. She received a Master of Science in Nursing from University of Connecticut. She has accumulated nearly fifteen years of nursing experience and education in various areas of patient care at the hospital such as Medical-Surgical Unit, geriatric, Pediatric unit and long term care facility with rehabilitation as a Registered Nurse and pain management clinic as a Nurse Practitioner in South Korea and the U.S.
Her scope of practice encompasses the health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health care problems beginning in early adult and continuing throughout the aging process. She seeks to acquire a comprehensive evaluation of every patient by taking time to listen and understand their needs.
Cancer patients benefit from Dr. Krishnan’s comprehensive and compassionate assessment and treatment plan. Office-based procedures include bone marrow evaluations and intravenous chemotherapy.
When physicians refer patients to Dr. Krishnan’s office for specialty care, they are kept apprised of test results and their patient’s treatment plan. Dr. Krishnan has admitting privileges at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia and Providence Hospital in Southfield. Following treatment or an assessment by Dr. Krishnan, patients are returned to the care of the referring physician for ongoing medical care.
